Jaap Vliegenthart shot for Van Lanschot, a Dutch private bank , who chose Piet Hein Eek as their example of a success story. He is a famous Dutch designer, renowned for his furniture made from scrap wood, and still makes everything from used materials. What’s special about his business is that he holds all the aspects of his field in his own hand and in one place.
So he designs, builds and sells the furniture all under one roof; which is an old Phillips factory that wasn’t being used. That also fits in the philosophy of letting nothing go to waste. This is what Jaap tried to show in the image. See all aspects from beginning to end; his entire world in one panorama which if you look closely ends where it started.
