Being Elmo, now in theaters, tells the beautiful and inspiring story of puppeteer, Kevin Clash and how he came to create the world’s most lovable muppet, Elmo. Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, the film includes interviews and rare behind-the-scenes footage of Sesame Street and the Jim Henson Workshop and is truly worth checking out.

Scott McDermott’s involvement with the project started early this year at the Sundance Film Festival. While on assignment for Moving Pictures Magazine, Scott photographed Kevin and Elmo along with Director Constance Marks and Director of Photography & Producer James Miller. They were all very happy with Scott’s work, and when it came time to create the theatrical poster for the film, they contacted him to help with their new concept (read more about that here). Click below to watch the trailer…gets us every time!
